Buddhist monks in Monkmobiles and bulletproof robes

Yeap! Buddhist monks now travel like the pope...

Major Songphon Eiamboonyarith, a defense contractor who has invented bulletproof tuk-tuks (motorcycle taxis), "umbrellas that shoot rubber bullets, bullet-proof baseball caps and a hand-held device to fire a man-sized net 30 feet (10 m) to stop a villain in his tracks."

To wear a bulletproof vest and travel in a bulletproof tuk-tuk, surely rises the level of mindfulness and perception, at the same time illustrates our temporariness, makes uscheck for/deal with the fear factor...

Quite a practice!

Opposed to buddhist teachings? Not at all.

It only illustrates the ways of the world and its conditions.

That is true Cris, but "umbrellas that shoot rubber bullets?" Hopefully the monks won't carrying those!
